Welcome everyone to The Eternal Heresy! I am sure all of you are very eager to begin your experience here, so I have compiled a list of rules you must follow while you’re here. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me!
Part 1 – Rules of the Forum
The following is a list of rules that will apply to everywhere on the forum.
1. Spamming is not allowed. This includes posts that are only one or two words long and/or use chat lingo (ex. lol, brb) and/or are completely pointless. It is annoying and fills the forum up with pointless things that shouldn't be there.
2. All threads must be posted in the proper area. If your thread is found in the wrong area, you will be warned and the topic will be moved into the correct board.
3. New Ideas are always welcomed here at The Eternal Heresy, but they must be posted in the Loft area and accepted by a staff first before it can be used in the RP. This is to make sure no one godmods or no one is caught off-guard. The plot flows more smoothly this way.
4. Advertisements should be kept to signatures. If any advertisements are found outside your signature you will be warned. If you wish to affiliate with us, post a request on our Affiliate Board.
5. Images in your signature should be no larger than 550x300 pixels in size. This is because this is the optimum size without stretching the screen and slowing down page loading times.
6. Everyone is entitled to their opinions and have the right to state their views on subjects. Be polite to other people who have different opinions than you do and everything will run smoothly.
7. Feudscape® is a violent world full of war and conflict. Mature topics to include violence and gore are allowed, but make sure to mark it as such in the topic title. As far as topics of a sensual nature, do the same as with violent and gory ones.
8. Since you may have only one character per account, multiple accounts are allowed. Just remember it gets fairly confusing if you do this.
Part 2 - The Eternal Heresy Roleplay Rules
1. You may not kill a charatcer without the owner's consent. If you are sniping, you may only say that you fired the round, but not whether it hit or not. The character's owner decides that.
2. War is harsh and brutal. That's the way of life. If you do not post within three days without telling us you are leaving, the other members partaking in that topic will be allowed to continue without you and you will be left behind. Make sure to be as active as possible.
3. You cannot be in two places at once. It's just impossible. If you want to move from one topic to another, you must post that you leave the topic you are leaving and arrive at the topic you want to be in.
4. NPCs are important to keep the story going, but they are not used as a substitute for your main character. If you create an NPC, you must post a profile for it just as if you were creating another character and they must be the same faction as your main character. NPCs may be used only when your main character is in the same topic.
5. NPCs are killed easier than main characters because they are minor to the story. But just as with main characters, you cannot say you killed someone's NPC without them saying so. When one of your NPCs are killed, he/she cannot be used again but none of your other NPCs or you MC don't need to be deleted or moved.
6. Each member account is allowed one Main Character, or MC, and unlimited NPCs. If you wish to create another MC you must create a new account. This makes things less confusing and easier to keep track of.
7. When your MC (or main character) is killed, he/she does not come back. They are dead and may not be used again. If you want to, you may create another MC. Just remember, when your MC is killed, all NPCs that you created when you had that MC must either be removed from the RP or given to someone else. The latter is more suggested than the former.
8. You cannot change the past. What's done is done. This means you may not edit your In-Character posts after you have posted them, unless you are editing for grammer. It is highly suggested you pay attention to things in the topic closely before posting.
9. No godmodding. This includes controlling someone else's character without their permission, making your character more powerful than he/she really is and using items or powers you don't really have. I am going to be honest and say I have had a problem myself with doing this, and still do to a short point, but I am much better at not doing it than I have been. Please don't do it.
10. Stores owned by members may contain any items, except those that increase stats or one-of-a-kind items. Items that increase stats must be first approved by a staff.
11. As stated earlier, the past cannot be changed, and you may not travel to the past. Time-travel is prohibited here at The Eternal Heresy so don't use it.
13. Even though some of us don't act like it some of the time, everyone is human, including the staff. If a staff doesn't catch something you do such as edit your money or items right away, PM him or her to let him or her know about the change. We cannot be watching every single member 24/7.
Warning System
- Our warning system here at The Eternal Heresy is as follows:
1st Warning: Minor warning
2nd Warning: More stern warning
3rd Warning: Threat to be suspended
4th Warning: Suspended for five days
5th Warning: Suspended for 1 week
6th Warning: Suspended for 1 month
7th Warning: Ban
- This system is lenient, and we will try and be lenient with members, but will take action if required. Just follow the rules stated above and we will not have to take action.
Have fun!
