The Eternal Heresy
It has been over eight hundred years since humanity stumbled upon the CotU galaxy by accident. Since then, they have befriended a race of omnipotent beings known as the Seije, the masters of the mysterious energy force known as E'lan. With the other three powers, they formed an alliance known as the Covenant of Allied Powers and have been the governing power of the galaxy ever since.
But in 875 PoS an event occurred that changed the galaxy forever. A heresy which had been brewing inside the Church of the Commen on the grounds that Nether, their goddess was becoming too weak to hold their enemies at bay any longer finally came to a boiling point and led to a massacre on the Seijan capital planet of Citadeil, plunging the galaxy into a seemingly never-ending war. The Seije were torn in two, those siding with the heresy deeming themselves the Arcanists and those still loyal to the church claiming the title of Altruists.
Fighting alongside the Arcanists is the Joesheivan Alliance, a faction comprised of several smaller governments, houses and pirate groups which have seen the corruption of both the Altruists and the Covenant, whom are under the yoke of the tyrannical and power-hungry Novae Corporation and seek to expunge them for good. This war mixed with the threat of the return of the Seije's ancient enemy have caused tensions to rise to an extreme point in the CotU galaxy and the universe hangs in the balance as the darkness draws closer and closer to the universe...
