The MWP-6 'Messmier' mobile weapons platform was a multi-purpose gun platform used by the Covenant of Allied Powers and the Grand Initiative during the Eternal Heresy. The Messmier is the most potent weapon in the Covenant’s arsenal. It first saw action during the Arterus campaign in limited numbers, but now is a symbol of Covenant might. The BT-5 'Chessnier' battle tank was an armored vehicle used by the Covenant of Allied Powers and the Grand Initiative during the Eternal Heresy. The BT-5 was the most numerous of the Covenant’s vehicles before the Arterus Campaign and still remains as such today. It was the very first truly dedicated combat vehicle produced by the Novae Corporation utilizing Xeironix and has been the most numerous seen on battlefields as the ‘standard’ for all Covenant armies. The MT-4 'Hotchkiss' medium tank was an armored vehicle used by the Covenant of Allied Powers and the Grand Initiative during the Eternal Heresy. Designed primarily as an anti-infantry vehicle, the Hotchkiss was aptly named after Benjamin Hotchkiss, the pioneer of the machine gun. It serves its role well and is well-protected against infantry and light mech attack as it has proved on many occasions. It has also been known to double as an anti-aircraft platform against low-flying aircraft. The lightest armored vehicle in the Covenant’s arsenal, the Renault was designed to be a scout vehicle that would move to flank the enemy and lay down suppressing fire in large numbers to make way for the main force. The AT-7 'Tortoise' armored personnel carrier was an armored vehicle used by the Covenant of Allied Powers and the Grand Initiative during the Eternal Heresy. A very familiar sight to Covenant infantry, the Tortoise armored personnel carrier is used for the transportation of troops to the frontlines. Derived from a civilian design created for luxury it is a foremost favorite for all foot soldiers serving in the Covenant military for its comfortability and spacious interior. This makes room for little else, however, and it must be supported in combat operations. The RAV 'Raccoon' recon assault vehicle was a light vehicle used by the Covenant of Allied Powers and the Grand Initiative during the Eternal Heresy. Another favorite amongst Covenant ground forces, the Raccoon recon assault vehicle is fast and powerful. Though not as heavily armored as other vehicles, it is very useful for flanking or outmaneuvering larger enemies while laying down an impressive field of fire. The LRV 'Hedgehog' light recon vehicle was a light vehicle used by the Covenant of Allied Powers and the Grand Initiative during the Eternal Heresy. Lightly armored but equipped with advanced scouting and communication equipment, the Hedgehog is used solely for recon missions and is not intended for combat. If it finds itself in a combat situation it can use its incredible speed to escape. The Mk-16 'Zeus' command vehicle was a mobile command vehicle used by the Covenant of Allied Powers and the Grand Initiative during the Eternal Heresy. When it is necessary to have a mobile command base close to the attacking force, the Zeus command vehicle is fielded for its incredible versatility and rugged durability. It boasts incredibly advanced communications, sensory and electronic warfare equipment and is fairly heavily armed making it a valuable, yet costly, addition to Covenant forces. The T-30 'Jack was an engineering vehicle used by the Covenant of Allied Powers and the Grand Initiative during the Eternal Heresy. Despite its primary role as an engineering vehicle, the T-30 is surprisingly well armed and protected by Xeironix Armor Plating. This is because the vehicle is designed to proceed in front of the main advance to conduct many missions including but not limited to mine-detecting, bridge-laying and clearing obstacles. It is also capable of carrying several engineers to help it carry out these roles. Another rare unit within Covenant forces, the MWSJ or Multi-Wave Sensor Jammer, is a very powerful yet expensive vehicle due to the delicate yet extremely powerful systems onboard. It is designed to render large groups of units invisible to enemy sensors. However, it is lightly armed and armored, making it a viable target to enemy forces, requiring support and escort. The MAU 'Gorilla' was a piece of self-propelled artillery used by the Covenant of Allied Powers and the Grand Initiative during the Eternal Heresy. Self-propelled Artillery has been an invaluable asset to every army since the second world war. It continues to be so, and the fielding of the MAU has quickly become standard for every Covenant army. The only thing it lacks is speed. But unlike most other self-propelled artillery it is fully capable of engaging both heavy, far-off targets and those that find themselves engaging it closely, including infantry threats. The AA217 'Phoenix' was an air defense platform used by the Covenant of Allied Powers and the Grand Initiative during the Eternal Heresy. Airborne threats are very dangerous to commanders whom have no defense against them. Since flight was first discovered, this has been a staple of military defense. The AA217 is extremely potent against both airborne and infantry units that are at medium range. Coupled with its speed and superb electronic warfare systems, it is a valuable asset to any armed force.
